Compline and Holy Mass from the Ordinariate live via Zoom

When the period of lockdown caused by the Covid-19 outbreak began in March 2020, the daily online celebration of Holy Mass from The Oratory of St Joseph, in Fr Len's garden in Inverness, began. To his amazement it attracted as many has 120 people each day for almost four months from all over the world and as far a someone on a drilling platform in the South Pacific!

During lockdown it was also suggested by members of the Ordinariate in Scotland that we might have the Office of Compline, initially from the Customary of Our Lady of Walsingham. We began with nine people on Wednesday 10th June 2020 and week by week more began to join us.

At the end of lockdown, at the request of the growing numbers present at Compline it was agreed that Compline should continue every Wednesday at 7pm ... indefinitely ... and continue it does! With the launch of the Ordinariate's Divine Worship Daily Office (Commonwealth Edition) we now recite Compline from that prayer book. People join us from from all over the world ... not just Scotland, but in England from Yorkshire to Essex in the south, as well as in Wales from Cardiff to Llandudno, and with occasional visitors from as far afield as Detroit (USA), Osaka (Japan), Lima (Peru) and even China.

You are invited to join us for Compline every Wednesday at 7pm
