Two Ordinariate Groups
established in Scotland

The Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham in Scotland is to operate as two groups from November 2011. Both groups will continue to be under the pastoral care of Fr Len Black, but but will meet separately for Mass each month and for catechesis as the groups grow. The groups will be known as the Highland Ordinariate Group and the Central Scotland Ordinariate Group.

The Highland Ordinariate Group

The Highland Group will meet on the first Sunday of each month in St Peter and St Boniface RC Church in Cathedral Square, Fortrose IV10 8TB, in the shadow of the ancient Cathedral.

Fortrose is just north of Inverness across the Kessock Bridge on the Black Isle and is convenient for people travelling from Ross-shire as well as Inverness-shire and Nairnshire where members of the group live.

The Ordinariate Mass will be on the first Sunday of each month at 11am in St Peter and St Boniface, and major feasts as announced.

The group will meet for coffee after Mass and on other Sundays of the month members of
the group will be attending their local Catholic Church.

Central Scotland Ordinariate Group

The Central Scotland Group will meet in St Kentigern's Church, Parkgrove Avenue, Edinburgh EH4 7QR, in the Barnton district of Edinburgh.

The Ordinariate Mass will be on the second Sunday of each month at 1pm in St Kentigern's.

The group will meet for coffee after Mass and on other Sundays of the month members of the group will be attending their local Catholic Church.

Barnton is on the north west side of Edinburgh, just off Queensferry Road which leads towards the Forth Bridge, making it convenient those coming from Glasgow and the west, as well as from Stirling and Fife where some members of the group live. Also, unusual for Edinburgh, there are no parking restrictions!
